A drive across one of the bridges connecting Tampa to St. Pete can be breathtaking for its views but problematic for its congested traffic. If you don’t so much like taking an Uber or taxi ride from Tampa to St. Pete, there will soon be a more scenic option for you! The Tampa Bay Ferry Project connecting the downtown areas of Tampa and St. Petersburg sets sail this November.
With adult tickets at $10 and children at $8, this is an affordable option that may also be more fun/enjoyable than a car ride. The ferry will make two round trips Monday – Friday as well as Sunday, and three round trips on Saturdays. The ride will take approximately 50 minutes each way. While it may be a lengthier trip, you are sure to get more of an outdoor/nature experience. The Tampa Bay Ferry will hold 149 passengers at capacity.
