This time of year many people focus on better health: eating right and staying in shape. So is it more effective to join a gym or to have a home gym?
Does running late count as exercise?? I’ve been doing that a lot lately!
Ok, seriously, many of us make New Year’s resolutions that include exercising and sticking to a routine (this time). Some believe the only way to stay motivated is to join their local gym. They believe the money they’re spending each month will be enough to keep them committed to a regimen. Some go as far as hiring a personal trainer to ensure they stay on track and hit their personal goals. Other people believe that its better to transform a room in their home into a home gym. For me, this has been an effective endeavor. I’ve worked out in front of my big screen at home for a whole year now. I actually miss it when I go on vacation.
So what do you think would work best for you? Is it a gym membership or a home gym? Maybe it’s neither. We build new homes in South Tampa where many fitness-minded folks love to run, bike, and roller blade on Bayshore Boulevard.
