Picture this: luxurious tropical landscapes, quaint tree-lined streets, historic Florida buildings, and unique homesites. All of these wonderful aspects make Seminole Heights, Tampa Heights and Riverside Heights incredible places to live.
Seminole Heights is one of Tampa’s trendiest neighborhoods, is a National Historic District and is considered to be Tampa’s first suburb. Established in the 1880s, Tampa Heights is just minutes away from downtown without the traffic.
As you can see from the above maps, Riverside and Tampa Heights are located to the west and are near the Hillsborough River. Seminole Heights is located just north of the two areas and creeps right up to the edge of the Hillsborough River.
Seminole Heights, Tampa Heights, and Riverside Heights
With so many activities, beautiful homes and the overall ambiance you’ll find yourself right at home in this area.
The local area has so much to offer. Parks, golf courses, shopping, access to major thoroughfares and close to downtown. There are so many wonderful areas to be if you love nature and the outdoors!
Seminole Heights is home to Lowry Park Zoo, which has over 56 acres of exhibits and animals ranging from elephants to alligators.
Waterworks Park located right on the Tampa Riverwalk provides family-friendly fun for everyone, even dogs! The park features open, green spaces, a dog park, covered and shaded picnic areas, a playground and a splash pad for children and fountains.
Seminole Heights Neighborhood Bars and Restaurants
Tampa, Seminole, and Riverside Heights are home to a number of great eateries and watering holes. From small pubs, family-owned restaurants, new healthy choices to larger breweries, there are plenty of establishments that offer unique and enjoyable experiences for everyone!
Ulele offers craft brews as well as a top-notch dining experience. It brings together fresh ingredients and marries modern cuisine with the traditional taste of Florida.
Ulele is located directly adjacent to Waterworks Park in Tampa’s hottest meeting place called Armature Works.
Armature Works was built in 1910 and was once the storage and maintenance facility for Tampa Electric’s (TECO) streetcars. The facility has been repurposed multiple times for various industries, but today is home to a number of trendy spots offering food and drink.
At Armature Works, you’ll find bars, restaurants, recreation, and markets. Play cornhole or giant chess outside and bring your dog, enjoy a variety of craft beers and food inside. Armature Works also shows presentations of Tampa Bay Lightning games out on the lawn during the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
Brew Bus is an experience all on its own. While the location itself brews a variety of craft beers and serves pub fair, it is the “bus” portion that is the real experience. Their fleet of tour busses takes guests around to a number of local breweries so that you can experience a number of local breweries in a safe and fast manner.
While the original Bodega is located in St. Pete, this second location does not disappoint. It is partnered with Mandarin Heights, a bar that serves swanky, Instagram worthy drinks that taste as good as they look! Wednesdays they offer $6 Old Fashions and jass from 5 until late.
Families relocating to the area have the choice of a number of schools.
Broward Elementary School, as well as Hillsborough High School with its IB program, are just a few of the many choices where your child can get a good K-12 education.
