She attended multiple first-time homebuyer classes with various nonprofit organizations. In several instances, she started to buy a home, and some development or hurdle got her off track.
Pathenia was a native of East Tampa and loved the community. She was on the hunt for a well-constructed home. She has young children, so she was very specific about what areas she wanted to live in. She insisted on a quiet street.
After much searching, she was close to giving up when a local nonprofit agency directed her to Urban 360°º. As soon as she toured the Urban 360°º Dream Center and met Juan and Belix, she was excited to make a decision and start the buying process.
Pathenia knew what loan product she wanted, and wisely she decided to take some extra time to save more money and pay down her debt. It was a smart move because she was able to qualify for the first-time homebuyer down payment loan assistance from the City of Tampa. After living in her home for 10 years, the loan will be forgiven.
Pathenia is grateful to be purchasing a home in a community she loves, and looks forward to building equity and enjoying many years in this home with her children.
