Our Warranty Commitment

Throughout our construction process, we keep you updated first and foremost. We host multiple meetings with you and your construction manager at the pre-construction, pre-drywall and new home intro phases — with a final sign-off meeting ensuring all is to your satisfaction. Quality and craftsmanship are evident in everything we do — because the results matter to every one of our customers. Reflecting this, our warranty is robust and designed to take care of our customers should an issue occur.

Domain Homes is dedicated to customer satisfaction. Prior to closing, we’ll provide you with a comprehensive homeowner orientation. We’ll make time together to acquaint you with the many features of your new home and answer any of your questions.

Due to COVID19, we are experiencing longer than usual delays in service. We are normally in the office Monday-Friday, 9am – 5pm. We will contact you as soon as possible to get further information and to schedule someone to inspect your home to assess the situation and schedule the work to be done. Please note that warranty appointments are done during normal business hours.

1-Year Workmanship

The one-year workmanship warranty provides surety type coverage and backs the builder’s warranty for defects in workmanship and materials. Covered components of a home that do not meet established Construction Performance Standards in the warranty during the first year will be repaired, replaced or you may be paid the cost of repair or replacement.

2-Year Systems

The two-year systems warranty provides surety type coverage and backs the builder’s warranty for defects in the electrical, plumbing, heating, cooling, ventilating, and mechanical systems. Covered components of a home that do not meet the established Construction Performance Standards in the warranty during the first two years will be repaired, replaced or you may be paid the cost of repair or replacement.

10-Year Structural

The ten-year structural warranty provides direct coverage from the day of closing for major structural defects. If a major structural defect occurs to a designated load bearing element of the home within the 10-year warranty term, it will be repaired, replaced, or paid for by Centricity.

Manufacturers’ Warranties

For even more peace of mind, be sure to activate the individual manufacturer warranties for the various products in your new home. Whether floor, roof, appliances or windows, these warranties will depend on the specific selections you make when personalizing your home. We will be sure to point out these warranty opportunities — as well as provide you with required documentation — during your homeowner orientation walkthrough.

RESIDENTIAL ENERGY GUARANTEE

Domain homes is committed to building comfortable, energy-efficient homes. To demonstrate their confidence in the efficient performance of your home, they provide each home with a limited Residential Energy Guarantee from Centricity. This limited guarantee will reimburse the cost of energy usage should it exceed the guarantee program’s Annual Energy Guarantee Level.
