Have you been to the Riverwalk, Tampa Heights or Seminole Heights lately?

Impressive changes arrive almost every day — and they’re adding up.

A sunny new lifestyle has appeared on city streets and along the river. It’s a friendly, walkable experience that’s healthy and hip.

Every day, there are more ways to meet up,  take in the sights and sample Tampa culture. And whether your tastes run toward the casual or the gourmet, you won’t be disappointed.

Strong, steady progress along the river

Downtown Tampa just keeps getting better. From Channelside to the Straz Center, you’ll find world-class sports, events and excitement.

But recently, horizons have expanded. Tampa Riverwalk has uplifted the eastern shore of the Hillsborough River.

Now there’s a continuous route of parklands, attractions and watering holes. Riverwalk’s 2.6 miles take you among gleaming architecture, museums, concert halls, parks, ponds and the beautiful University of Tampa campus — with plenty of pit stops for refreshment.

You’re free to walk, bike or rent a scooter and explore. You can even try a stand-up paddle board and explore by water. You might spot a tarpon, manatee or dolphin!

Toward its northern end, Riverwalk connects to the new Waterworks Park. This is a perfect place to rest, take in the sights and enjoy a bite (or sip) of your favorite tastes.

There’s a dog park, splash pad, playground, festival lawn and amphitheater — and even a dock where you can bring your own boat or rent a Pirate Water Taxi.

New delights in Tampa Heights

Riverwalk’s northern anchor is Armature Works, where Tampa Heights and Riverside Heights connect to downtown. This historic streetcar building is now a dining and entertainment hub.

It’s a popular destination with trendy restaurants, shops, entertainment and a rooftop bar. It’s also a good place to park — whether you want to explore the entire Riverwalk or just sample the food and drink.

Just across Palm Avenue is the Pearl Apartments building. Its street-level restaurants and services match the hip, upscale Armature Works vibe.

A few blocks east, a new Sprouts Farmers Market answers the neighborhood’s call for a grocery store.

There’s also a proposal to replace the nearby YMCA with a new 110,000 sq. ft. facility, plus green spaces and mixed-use retail/housing.

A little northwest, Tampa Heights taste buds are being satisfied at Woven Water Brewing Company — a creative taproom in a 100-year-old storefront at Columbus and N. Boulevard. Nearby, Isaac’s World-Famous Burgers offers an intimate place to sit and enjoy a superior snack of burger and fries.

Seminole Heights kicks it up another notch

This classic Tampa neighborhood has enjoyed a long and lasting renaissance.

Constantly raising the bar of quality and variety, Seminole Heights still manages to surprise.

There’s no end to the buzz of food, drink, art and social life along Florida or Nebraska Avenue.

Award-winning restaurants and funky new concepts sit together, sometimes under the same roof.

  • Ella’s Americana Folk Art Café mixes chef-inspired fare with retro charm and live music.
  • The C House concentrates on craft cocktails, cheese, charcuterie and cheesecake. It’s a favorite girls-night-out spot.
  • The Independent is a pioneer of Tampa craft brew and offers award-winning European café food.
  • The Old Heights Bistro has friendly staff, retro charm and incredible creations from sushi to New American fare to glorious desserts.
  • For a gourmet adventure, people love to be surprised at Rooster and the Till, recipient of the Michelin Bib Gourmand award.

All this excellence keeps people coming back for more. But that’s a very short list of the options — and every week, new contenders open new places to try!

On top of all the food, drink and nightlife, Seminole Heights has a strong sense of community. Creative neighborhood events, markets and festivals keep people connected in fun ways — from fun-loving singles to baby-strolling new families.

There are murals, galleries and studios all over. Art collectors and appreciators have so much to explore.

Here before the boom

As you visit the Heights, you might notice something.

Domain Homes signs in vacant lots. Domain Homes signs on finished homes.

We’ve been building new homes in all these areas for years — since we started this company. Check out our current list of completed new homes in the area.

Domain Homes is locally owned and run, with deep knowledge of these neighborhoods.

From the beginning, we’ve been asked to design floor plans to make the most of people’s existing property. Some lots are small or unusually shaped, but we can design a new home to let you stay in your beloved neighborhood.

Some parts of the Heights have strict architectural standards. We’ve been navigating them for years.

We offer a wide variety of styles, and the list keeps growing.
